Chris Young went 5 for 5 with a double and 2 homers in his first rehab game for Las Vegas. Can’t wait for him to get to the Mets so EYJr gets buried on the bench with his sweet .530 OPS. Rafael Montero took a no hit bid into the 6th, he settled for giving up 2 runs on 2 hits in 6.1 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 2.

Hansel Robles wiggled out of trouble in his final inning of work (the 5th), stranding the bases loaded, to cap off his 2nd straight good AA outing. A leadoff triple in the 5th put him in jeopardy, but he walked a tightrope and struck out two in the frame to escape with a shutout in tact. The Mets bullpen fired 4 innings of 1 hit shutout relief. Darrell Ceciliani had 2 hits and scored a run atop the Mets lineup. 27 year old non prospect Matt Clark walked in all 5 of his PAs #OBPz. Each of the 5 thru 9 batters in the order drove in a run.

Domingo Tapia fired 5 hitless innings in a good outing, though he only struck out two, he also only walked 2, picking up his first win of the young season. Jacob “Seth” Lugo had a rough outing in relief, giving up 2 runs (1 earned) on 2 hits, but 3 walks in 3.2 innings. Offensive, Dilson Herrera had a fantastic game, going 4 for 5 with a double atop the Mets order.

Chris Flexen had a good outing today, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits and a walk in 6.1 innings, striking out 4 and generating 9 groundball outs, and the Gnats put up back to back 3 run innings in the 8th and 9th to win going away, 6-2. Akeel Morris fired 2.2 shutout innings for the win, striking out 3 and walking 1. Offensively, Gavin Cecchini had a pair of hits and drove home a pair. Jared King walked twice, but was otherwise 0 for 3. Patrick Biondi, who should probably be leading off with Cecchini hitting 2nd, tripled, walked, had two hits, and scored twice out of the 9 hole.
