AA Eastern League: Binghamton 0/9/0,, New Britain 3/11/0 Excuse my lack of professionalism for this recap, but I’m absolutely SICK of umpires who do stupid shit like this:

Collin McHugh had bent just a tad, but had not broken – scattering 7 hits through 5, but holding the Rock Cats off the board by generating 10 groundouts, but then he allowed a solo homer to leadoff the seventh, and his final pitch hit the next batter. And so, in his infinite wisdom, the home plate ump, the beyond retarded, complete moronic jackass Joey Amaral, ejected McHugh, in a 1-0 game in the 7th inning. Because, of course, McHugh wanted to, and intentionally did hit a batter in a fucking 1 run game in the 7th inning. (Or, more likely, Amaral is a fucking brain damaged pile of trash). Either way, that runner scored, so McHugh’s final line doesn’t look nearly as good as he pitched, and he took a tough loss. He was matched out for out by the RockCats Logan Darnell, who, judging just from numbers, may be a semi-prospect for the Twins.

Offensively, the Mets had 9 hits and 2 walks. Matt den Dekker and Eric Campbell had multi hit games.

Cory Mazzoni had a mixed outing today, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, but striking out 4 in 5 plus innings. Jack Leathersich’ high A debut was also mixed, he pitched well for his first 2 innings, but then ran into trouble in the 8th (his 3rd inning of work). John Church ultimately took the loss. Offensively, Alonzo Harris had the only multi hit game.
