Cesar Puello is now a walk MONSTER, with his second 2 walk game in the last week. He is the epitomy of a patient hitter (not really). All sarcasm aside, Puello had been walking at an elevated pace recently, hopefully, it continues. Puello had a perfect game with a double, 2 walks, and a HBP. Allan Dykstra had 2 more hits, but the Mets will not promote him until he’s hitting .400. Erik Goeddel had a decent outing, giving up 3 runs in 6 innings. Jack Leathersich struck out 5 to pick up the save.

A South Atlantic League: Savannah 8/15/1 @ Greenville 3/9/1

Brandon Nimmo returned to the lineup for the first time in a month and went 0 for 5, dropping his average all the way to .305. However, on this night, his teammates more than picked him up, with 6 hitters logging multi hit games, including everyone from 5 thru 9. NP Jeff Reynolds had a 3 hit, 4 RBI game. Steven Matz pitched 3 innings plus, leaving with what eyewitnesses call a finger/hangnail/blister injury. Lets hope it’s nothing major, remember, he missed basically 2 1/2 years with Tommy John, and complications from that.
