AA Eastern League: Binghamton 6/12/0 @ Trenton 5/13/2

The BMets took a 6-2 lead into the bottom of the 8th, and then had to hold their breath as their usually rock solid back of the bullpen was anything but. chase Huchingson allowed a run in the bottom of the 8th, and Jeff Walters allowed a pair in the 9th, but nailed down a very shaky save, his 16th of the year, in back of a stellar outing from Erik Goeddel (2 runs in 6 innings). Cesar Puello, Allan Dykstra and Wilfredo Tovar had multi hit games. Travis Taijeron took a Golden Sombrero in going 0 for 5.

A+ Florida State League: St. Lucie 4/8/1 @ Clearwater 2/12/0

Dustin Lawley’s 2 run homer in the top of the 10th snapped a 2-2 tie and gave the Mets a 4-2 win. Lawley, who I was intrigued in as an offense first utility player who could rotate the outfield and both infield corners, has appeared in LF in every non-DH game he’s played this season. VERY disappointing. Aderlin Rodriguez had two singles and a walk in 5 trips.
