AAA International League: Buffalo 5/10/3, Durham 11/10/2

Collin McHugh’s second AAA outing was… odd. He had 3 scoreless innings, sandwiched around a pair of 3 spots, and he gave up 3 homers, 1 less then he gave up all of his stay in Binghamton this year. On the positive side, he struck out 6 and walked 1 just in 5 innings. Jenrry Mejia got crushed in relief again, giving up 4 runs (3 earned) on 3 hits (including a homer) and a walk while recording just one out. His relief stats to date are putrid.

Kyle Crick and Michael Fulmer squared off tonight at Grayson Stadium, and Crick got the better of it, throwing a 2 hitter over 6 innings. However, Fulmer was not that far off, allowing a run on 2 hits in 6 innings while striking out 8, he took the tough luck loss. Crick was taken a few picks after Fulmer in the 2011 draft, and both were drafted out of high school, and both have been stellar as 19 year olds in full season ball.
