Matt Bowman had a decent outing this afternoon, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits in 6 innings, but he took the loss as the Mets offense was largely silent. Bret Mitchell, a sleeper bullpen prospect, gave up a run on 2 hits and 2 walks in 2 innings. Offensively, Jayce Boyd doubled, homered, and drove in both St. Lucie runs. Boyd is now hitting .529 (9 for 17) in his first 4 FSL games, all of which have been of the multi hit variety.
