Elvin Ramirez had a shaky 8th inning with a hit and 2 walks allowed, Pedro Beato delivered a dominant 9th. Offensively, Matt den Dekker homered.

Greg Peavey got wrecked, again, giving up 5 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings for his 5th loss of the season, his ERA continues to climb, now sitting in the mid 5s. Armando Rodriguez fired 2 innings of relief, dispelling any notions that he’d be moving into the rotation. Offensively, Wilmer Flores had another huge game with 3 more hits, he’s now hitting .412 thru his first 9 games in AA (14 for 34)

A+ Florida State League: St. Lucie 4/14/0, Jupiter 2/9/3 in 12 innings

Four Mets had multi hit games, lead by 3 from Alonzo Harris (leadoff), and 4 from TJ Rivera (8th). Harris’ triple sparked a 2 run top of the 12th, and Taylor Whitenton notched his 2nd save of the season with a clean bottom half. Rafael Montero had another solid outing in high A, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings, he took a ND. Adam Kolarek fired 2 scoreless innings of relief, though he did walk 3. He IS 23 1/2 years old, probably time to send him to Binghamton.

A South Atlantic League: Savannah 6/7/2, Augusta 2/6/1

And this time, Michael Fulmer got the better of Kyle Crick, as the Gnats patiently drew 4 walks off Crick in 2+ innings, and Fulmer was very good again, giving up 2 runs (1 earned) over 6 innings for his 5th win. If Fulmer wasn’t 19, I’d be pointing out his dominance and mentioning that promoting him might be a good idea, but again, he’s 19, and there’s absolutely NO rush whatsoever with him. Offensively, each of the top 4 hitters drove in at least one run, with each of the top 3 notching a hit, RBI, and walk.
