It’s been one hell of a long day for me, I started every thread on the draftees today on NYFS, and then transitioned right to minor league updates on Twitter while doing those threads… all on 3 1/2 hours of sleep (been sleeping horribly lately). I’m absolutely spent and really tired, and the second game of the SLC doubleheader is in a rain delay. All that combined = I’m out, going to sleep. I’ll update that game, and the Vegas game, in the morning. Goodnight, everyone.

6/9 Morning Update: Filled in Vegas and SLC Game 2.

AA Eastern League: Binghamton 9/12/2 @ Altoona 3/3/3

Rafael Montero had another fantastic outing tonight, giving up just 2 hits and a walk in 7 shutout innings for his 7th victory of the season, lowering his AA ERA to 2.43. He struck out 6 and threw 69% of his pitches for strikes. Travis Taijeron double, homered and had 3 hits in his AA debut, but the story continues to be the white hot Cesar Puello, who also had 3 hits and blasted his 13th homer, a 3 run shot in the 9th to completely ice the game. Puello is now hitting .333 on the season, and probably should be heading to Las Vegas.

Stefan Sabol’s 3 run homer in the 4th was all the scoring Savannah needed as they won it 4-1. Brandon Nimmo went 1 for 4, scored a run, but struck out in his other 3 plate appearances. His K rate is extremely high, something to keep an eye on as the season progresses.
