A+ Florida State League: St. Lucie 7/8/1, Brevard County 3/5/2

Tyler Pill had another dominant outing for the Mets, scattering 4 hits over 7 innings while allowing just a single run, for his 3rd win in the FSL. The series of moves that need to be made is pretty straightforward, Zack Wheeler to AAA, Pill to AA and Luis Mateo replaces Pill in St. Lucie. Could also toy with Michael Fulmer, but as I’ve mentioned, he’s 19, there’s no rush, he’s not RIDICULOUSLY dominating the Sally. Offensively for St. Lucie, Mike Baxter and Cory Vaughn had multi hit games. Baxter is rehabbing off a shoulder/rib injury, which of course, he sustained saving Johan Santana’s no hitter on June 1st. Vaughn is on fire in July, hitting .340/.431/.620/1.051 for the month (17 for 50, 6/13 BB/K)
