AA Eastern League: Binghamton 7/13/0 @ New Britain 8/12/1

Cesar Puello walked and singled tonight, it is his 6th walk in his last 10 games, he’s hitting a cool .371/.477/.514/.992 over that stretch. The bottom half of the Mets lineup (4 thru 8) all had multi hit games, and combined to go 11 for 18 with 2 homers and 4 drive in, however, it was not enough. Darin Gorski endured a 43 pitch first inning slog, and only made it 2/3 of the way before being pulled, leaving with the bases loaded and a run already home. Jim Fuller cleaned up that mess, but then proceeded to allow 5 runs in his 2.2 innings of ineffective long relief. Overall, the Mets bullpen was terrible, allowing 7 runs on 11 hits and 4 walks in 7.1 innings. Allan Dykstra and Darrell Ceciliani had multi hit games.
