There is very little that happened tonight that you would be interested in. Buffalo was 2 hit. Wheeler got destroyed (8 earned in 3.2 innings). St. Lucie was 1 hit. Savannah was being 3 hit, but eeked out 2 runs, and still lost. Brooklyn lost. Phil Evans was 3 for 4, Kevin Plawecki was 3 for 3 with a double and walk.

Steven Matz provided the lone bright spot on what was otherwise the most disasterous/awful night of minor league baseball I can remember. Matz went 6 strong innings in Game 1 of Kingsport’s doubleheader, allowing just 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 9. Kingsport won it 2-0, and then won the nightcap 2-1 to sweep the doubleheader.

If into the other boxscores you go, only pain will you find. #Yodaquotes
