Collin McHugh had to deal with some shoddy defense behind him, and ultimately gave up 3 runs (1 earned) on 6 hits in 5.1 innings, he picked up the win. Jenrry Mejia was subpar again with nearly as many balls (8) as strikes (9) in his 0.2 innings of relief. Once more, he is a starting pitcher. Josh Edgin delivered a scoreless 7th, Elvin Ramirez did the same in the 8th, both were hitless, and walked one. Offensively, Matt den Dekker had a huge game with 3 hits, including his 6th AAA homer.

Juan Lagares and Allan Dykstra had multi hit games for the Mets, pacing an 11 hit, 10 run attack as they raced out to a 10-4 lead, and then held on to squeak out a 10-9 victory behind a bad outing from Gonzalez Germen. Ryan Fraser bailed out Jeff Stevens, and then Adrian Rosario picked a scoreless 9th to pick up his 3rd EL save.

The Mets jumped the Marauders with a 5 run first, highlighted by a 3 run Rafael Fernandez (non prospect) homer, and cruised from there to an easy victory behind Tyler Pill and 3 relievers. Two Met prospects, plus Fernandez, had multi hit games. Jack Leathersich struck out 5 in 2 innings, though he allowed 4 hits in an inning.

Domingo Tapia had a very good outing, considering he got jumped for 3 in the first. He ended up going 7 strong, allowing 5 hits and 4 runs (3 earned) while generating 13 of his 21 outs on the ground. Aderlin Rodriguez, who’s errors have noticably declined since the first month of the season, committed a pair today, numbers 18 and 19 on the season. Offensively, Dustin Lawley doubled and had 3 hits overall. Aderlin hit his 16th homer of the season, a 2 run shot in the 8th to tie the game at 4.
