Big things in the works for MPH over the next few days. May be bringing on two new writers to help me out a ton, which should bring back a few features… but I don’t want to get ahead of myself. Stay tuned guys.

AAA International League: Las Vegas 3/8/0 vs New Orleans 2/7/0

Rafael Montero was flat dominant again tonight, striking out 8 over 7 shutout innings allowing just 4 singles for his 5th AAA victory, and 3rd in a row. Kirk Nieuwenhuis had a second straight strong game, with 2 hits (including a double) and a walk. Travis d’Arnaud singled, walked, and drove in a run. VERY interesting to note that John Church has seemingly taken over as the closer for Las Vegas, and Robert Carson has been deposed.

A+ Florida State League: St. Lucie 3/13/1 vs Fort Myers 5/8/0

In what will likely end up being Matt Bowman’s final start of 2013 was a bad one, he gave up 5 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks in 4.2 innings for the loss. Combined between Savannah and St. Lucie, Bowman has thrown 127 innings, a 41.2 inning jump from his 2012 total of 85.1, which is right about at the max of +40 most teams now allow for young pitchers.
