AAA International League: Buffalo 13/19/0, Syracuse 7/15/0

Kirk Nieuwenhuis left this game with a torn plantar fascia, he’s likely done for the season. Jeurys Familia got the start and was deplorable, giving up 5 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks in just 2.2 innings. Pedro Beato worked 2.2 perfect innings in relief. The Bisons offense was ridiculous, with six players getting multi hit games, and three homering.

Some strange, awful defense betrayed Domingo Tapia tonight and prevented him from notching his 6th win, despite a very strong outing, he gave up 3 runs (2 earned) on 3 hits in 7.1 innings, and actually ended up with the loss after Chasen Bradford could not strand a pair of his runners. Tapia struck out 5 and generated 13 groundball outs. Offensively, Matt Reynolds had a multi hit game, he’s hit his stride in mid A after a VERY difficult start.
