AAA International League: Las Vegas 6/13/0 @ Salt Lake 3/13/1

Rafael Montero had a pretty good start, going five innings, allowing two runs on eight hits, 2 walks and three strikeouts. All the hits and the two walks definitely drove up Montero’s pitch count allowing him to go only five innings. Montero threw 91 pitches and 57 were strikes. Both Ruben and Tejada had very nice nights at the plate.

AA Eastern League: Binghamton 1/6/1 vs. Bowie 4/10/0

Greg Peavey had a nice start tonight but the B-Mets bullpen and defense wasted his nice effort. Danny Muno made a very costly error at second base in the eighth and Chase Huchingson allowed one more run in the ninth. On the offensive side of things although the B-Mets had their share of hits they were unable to piece multiple hits together, holding them to just one run.

A South Atlantic League: Savannah 5/7/1 @ Kannapolis 2/5/1

Don’t Ynoa?! Ugh I’m awful, sorry, I had to. Gabriel Ynoa had his third consecutive very good start tonight. Tonight Ynoa went seven allowing five hits and two runs, both on a homerun off the bat of Keon Barnum. And also Brandon Nimmo is HOT lately, batting .308 with 10 walks and 7 strikeouts over his last ten games.  Nimmo’s hot streakis likely a combination of him figuring things out better and his wrist finally being fully healed.
